Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility Study (Range Method)
The measurement result variation mainly comes from measuring equipment, operator and product. By performing GR&R study. it can be isolating these primary sources of variations and then can be better judged from the measurement result for the part (product).
GR&R study is used to:- Identify the measurement processes that require improvement.
- Identify the source of measurement errors (observer or equipment), and
- Reduce the risks of wrong decision on the results of measurement.
